    Crusader is one of 6 main classe in Tales of Pirates. Lance and Phyllis could be Crusader. Crusader deals mostly physical damage with melee auto attacks. Classic damage dealer and carry. Can carry both two one-handed swords, and a sword + shield.

    Crusader pros and cons

    Pros:

    + Highest attack speed and dodge.

    + With the progression of the server and the character himself, the strength of the crusader grows more and more.

    + Strong set of core skills:

    • Illusion Slash that deals very high damage from a distance, has a fast cooldown
    • Stealth, allowing you to move in invisibility
    • Stun that immobilizes the enemy for a long time

    Cons:

    - Despite the high HP and defense gains, it is still quite a "thin" class compared to others.

    - A very popular class, which is why the equipment and gems for the Crusader are usually more expensive than for other classes.

    - In order to start showing good results in pk, farming and leveling, you first need at least some investments in equipment and character.

    How to become a crusader

    At level 10, the player needs to complete quest to get the 1st class of Swordsman. The quest is taken from NPC Newbie Guide - Senna in Argent (2224,2786). Upon reaching level 40, you need to complete quest for obtaining the 2nd class, which is taken from the NPC Castle Guard - Peter in Argent (2193,2767).     What stats and skills to learn and level up

    Main stat of crusader which should be increased to a maximum (100) in the first place is strength. Additional stats: agility and constitution. At the beginning of the game, it is worth to put free stat points equally into str and agi until character's agi, taking into account equipment, reaches 54. After that, you need to continue increasing only str. The indicator that you should focus on is attack speed. The maximum damage of "Illusion Slash" is achieved at an 210 attack speed. The player needs to strive to ensure that over time, taking into account the equipment, the crusader's attack speed reaches 210 passively (without Berserk and without buffs). If you need to reset extra agi or str points, you can purchase stat reset potions in item mall for IMPs or for gold from NPC Baby in Argent (2202,2776).

    Recommended order of skill leveling:

    • Concentration - 2
    • Sword Mastery - 5
    • Illusion Slash - 10

    After reaching Lv 10 Illusion Slash:

    • Concentration - 5
    • Berserk - 5
    • Dual Sword Mastery - 4
    • Blood Frenzy - 8
    • Deftness - 3
    • Stealth - 1
    • Shadow Slash - 1

    After reaching Lv 1 Stealth and Lv 1 Shadow Slash:

    Each player decides for himself in which direction to move further, and which skills to improve in what order. For example:

    • Poison Dart - 1, Stealth - 2 and Shadow Slash - 10 for better results in pk.
    • Dual Sword Mastery - 10 for increasing min and max attack what could be usefull for pk, farming and leveling.
    • Blood Frenzy - 10 and Berserk - 10 for increasing attack speed what can be usefull for farming and leveling.
    • Deftness - 10 for increasing dodge what can be usefull for farming and leveling.

    If you need to reset your skills, you can purchase the Book for Regaining Ability in item mall for IMPs in section "Character".

    Crusader equipment

    Main equipment

    Up to level 45, a crusader can use equipment from a newbie chest. After that, you should look for equipment at level 45+, which drops out of equipment summon scrolls. In equipment, you should pay attention to the presence of bonuses to str, agi and con, in boots - dodge, in gloves - hit rate, in swords - min/max attack, attack speed, hit rate, in armor - defense. Universal equipment is from dusty chests (Lv 60) and Lv 55 unseals. More details can be found on the Equipment page. Hat (+5 defense) can be bought from NPC Weird Hat Seller in Argent (2241,2771).

    Additional equipment

    • The most suitable fairy pet for crusader is 1st or 2nd gen pet with str.
    • The most suitable stat for handpet is +3% physical damage.
    • Any mount.
    • Rings. Choosing from the regular rings, the most suitable for crusedar will be rings that give a bonus to the hit rate. A good option would be the quest Ring of Fish Scale. Of the unique rings, the most suitable are Rings with gem of Strenght.
    • Necklaces. Choosing from the regular necklaces, the most suitable for crusader will be necklace that give a bonus to the physical resistance. Of the unique necklaces, the most suitable is necklace with gem of Strenght.

    Gems

    Recommendations for forging of gems:

    Swords: Furious gem (cheap option), Cracked gem of rage (pk), Chipped gem of rage (pk), Lustrious Gem (farming and pk).

    Hat: Red Jade and Yellow Jade.

    Gloves: Lustrious Gem.

    Armor and shield: Shining and Glowing gems (cheap option), Cracked gem of colossus and Chipped gem of colossus (the best option).

    Boots: Shadow gem (cheap option), Cracked gem of the wind and Chipped gem of the wind (the best option).

    Rings: Shining, Glowing, Shadow or Fiery gems, player's choice.

    Necklace: Furious Gem, Broken gem of rage, Broken gem of the wind or Broken gem of colossus, player's choice.

    Briefly: Provokes a monster and makes it attack the player.

    Details ►

    Mechanics: Deals "virtual" damage depending on skill level. The monster determines who to attack by adding the received "virtual" and real damage for each character separately and will attack the character that has the highest amount of damage dealt. The death of a character or his long absence near the monster resets the counter.

    Peculiarities:

    • Max lv: 10.
    • SP: 10.
    • Cast Range: 800.
    • Cannot be cast on a monster that already has this effect, regardless of skill level.
    • Cannot be dispelled by debuff cleansing mechanics that some monsters have.
    • Can be cast on the player, but does not affect them in any way.

    Details ►

    Mechanics: The character becomes invisible to other players and monsters. Some monsters can break invisibility. Any damage taken will break the invisibility. Invisibility can be canceled by attacking someone, canceling it yourself, or sitting down. The duration is calculated by the formula: 20 + 10 * [skill level] seconds.

    Peculiarities:

    • SP: 10. Every 5 seconds consumes SP equal to: 10 - 0.5 * [skill level].
    • Special item Soul Detector and skill of Cleric and Seal Master "True Sight" show the character's location, but do not break invisibility. If you leave the area of effect, the character will again become invisible.

    Peculiarities:

    Peculiarities:

    • Range: 200.
    • The stun effect will not trigger if the target is already stunned.
    • The character's "face" is an angle of 90°, the center of which is the center of the game model's face (0°), the "face" hit box is active in the range from 45° to -45°. On picture, the doubling zone of the stun duration is marked in orange.

    Chaos Mechanics:

    • The stun effect prevents the target from regenerating HP and SP.

    Poison Dart

    Stuns the target for 2 seconds after the poison duration expires. Poison duration is: 15 - 1 * [skill level].

    • Range: 1000.
    • The effect will not be applied if the target is already poisoned or under the influence of Radiation.
    • The stun effect will not trigger if the target is already stunned.

    Shadow step

    Briefly: Increases the character's movement speed while invisible. Increases dodge and attack speed after leaving invisibility. The skill is given after completing Rebirth.

    Details ►

    Mechanics: Increases movement speed by 10% while invisibility is active.
    After the character comes out of invisibility, increases attack speed by the formula: 30 + 20 * [skill level] and dodge by the formula: 10 * [skill level]. The buff after leaving invisibility lasts 5 seconds.

    Halo

    Briefly: Places a protective Halo on the character, which reduces damage received while active.
    *At the moment, the skill is not available in the game.

    Details ►

    Mechanics: Defense Halo has 5 charges and works as long as there are charges. A charge is consumed every time a player receives damage that is above a certain threshold. The damage that the charge used will be reduced by 20%. When used, consumes Halo source. If the Halo source is not in the inventory, then the skill will go on cooldown without having an effect. The skill can be learned by purchasing skill book in item mall. The effect lasts for 15 minutes. The skill cannot be updated by repeated use while its effect is active. If you activate a skill while the previous effect has not disappeared, it will report failure and go on cooldown. The halo dissipates when the character dies.

    Peculiarities:

    • Max Lv: 1.
    • SP: 0.
    • Threshold Damage: 2000.
    • The threshold is calculated before applying the cutting from the Chaos mechanics, fairy protection, but after calculating the incoming damage (Defense, physical resistance, magical resistance, attack skill formula, etc.)
    • You cannot level up the skill on your own.
