Tweaks
Tweaks - are client modifications that are allowed by the administration. They can be both external and provided by the administration. At the moment, only those tweaks that the administration provides are described.
Tweaks provided by the administration
We provide three tweaks that are in the client by default. In the future, we plan to fully or partially transfer these tweaks to the client settings. But until this happens, we provide instructions on how to use them:
General
For further description, let's agree that %Installation_Location% means the path in the system where the game is installed. For example:
D:\Tortuga\scripts\lua
In this case, write the path as follows:
%Installation_Location%\scripts\lua
Camera tweak
Camera tweak is a standard tweak responsible for the position of the "camera" over the character. You can customize the tweak file yourself if you know how. Administration provides two preconfigured versions:
- Standard [Camera.lua]
- Big [Camera-big.lua]
By default
The default settings for camera is medium.
Path to tweak files
The files are located in the following path:
%Installation_Location%\scripts\lua
How to use
The game client checks file named [Camera.lua] at startup and uses its settings to configure the game camera. In order to change the zoom to big, you need to:
- Rename or move the [Camera.lua] file to another directory
- Rename file [Camera-big.lua] to [Camera.lua]
To return to standard camera settings, reverse the steps.
Animation Tweak
Animation tweak is a standard tweak responsible for displaying character's actions* when using skills and attacks. Usually, skill actions are disabled by pk players to speed up the pk process. Administration provides two preconfigured versions:
*This refers to the actions of the character itself and does not affect the effects and glow.
- Disabled skill actions [CharacterAction.tx]
- Enabled skill actions [CharacterAction-original.tx]
By default
By default, skill actions are disabled.
Path to tweak files
The files are located in the following path:
%Installation_Location%\scripts\txt
How to use
The game client checks a file named [CharacterAction.tx] on startup and uses it to determine which animations to play in which cases. In order to enable skill actions, you need to:
- Rename or move to another directory the file [CharacterAction.tx]
- Rename file [CharacterAction-original.tx] to [CharacterAction.tx]
To disable skill actions again, reverse the steps.
Disabling melee attacks for mages
This standard tweak is responsible for whether the owners of staffs and daggers will be able to hit with melee attacks. Usualy, used by players who have characters with classes: Cleric, Seal Master or Voyager and they don't want to accidentally start attacking targets with melee attacks due to their ineffectiveness. Administration provides two preconfigured versions:
- Attacks are enabled [skillinfo.bin]
- Attacks are disabled [skillinfo-no-mg-atk.bin]
By default
Attacks are enabled by default.
Path to tweak files
The files are located in the following path:
%Installation_Location%\scripts\table
How to use
The game client checks a file named [skillinfo.bin] on startup and uses it to determine the skills of the characters. In order to disable the attacks, you need to:
- Rename or move the [skillinfo.bin] file to another directory
- Rename file [skillinfo-no-mg-atk.bin] to [skillinfo.bin]
In order to re-enable the attacks, reverse the steps.
